Report of Subject Research---Introduction for the Site

　　上圖為船灣堆填區的鳥瞰圖，它坐落於大埔汀角路，佔地五十公頃。它於1995年被填滿，共接收了1500萬公噸的垃圾，經過1年的修復工程，於1997年完成修復工作，現已交由環保署的廢物設施營運處管理，是次修復工程共斥資一億五千八百萬，而開放後的三十年內，需要每年撥出五百萬來作保養。

　　在堆填區內，有一個臨時的高爾夫球場，共設有一百四十五條球道。於二零零三年中，該處將發展為一個擁有九洞的大型高爾夫球場；在堆填區的東部最低處，有一列處理堆填區物資的設施，例如滲漏污水設施、監測設施，以及堆填區氣體處理設施。

　　Above is the lastest view for the Shuen Wan Landfill, it located on the Tai Po Ting Kok Road. All 50 hectures are covered with waste before 1995. It had received 15 millions of waste before restoration in 1996. It used $158 millions for completion the restoration in 1997. It now manages by wfbu in epd. For the next 30 years, the aftercare costs $5 million per year!

　　It has a temporatory golf driving range in the landfill. In the mid-2003, it will convert to a 9-hole golf course. It has some other facilities such as leachate treatment facilities, monitoring facilities, landfill gas treatment plant etc.

滲漏污水收集井 Leachate Extraction Well 於堆填區東部的滲漏污水處理設施 Leachate Treatment Plant in the East	滲漏污水設施 Leachate Treatment 　　於堆填區內，共有十多個污水井。污水將會在該處收集，經過處理後才對外排放。　　It has over 10 leachate Extraction Well for collection of Leachate.Leachate is extracted and treated in the Leachate Treatment Works before discharge.
堆填區內的高爾夫球場 Golf Driving Range in the landfill	康樂設施Recreational Facilities 　　堆填區內有一個臨時的高爾夫球場，共設有一百四十五條球道。於二零零三年中，該處將發展為一個擁有九洞的大型高爾夫球場　　It has a temporatory Driving Range. It has 145 Bays. In mid-2003, it will develop into a 9 hole golf course.

堆填區內的景色 The View in the landfill	堆填區氣體處理設施Landfill Gas Treatment 　　堆填區內有九十個氣體抽取井，堆填區的氣體起初要以燃燒方法處理。而一九九九年八月起，那些氣體會作為生產煤氣的原料。　　There are 90 gas extraction well. The landfill gas will treat by burning. But after August 1999, it becomes the material of production of towngas.
