STORY ::
Death Metal, Progressive Metal, Melodic Metal, it's hard to pigeon-hole
the music of Seed into one genre, and that's exactly how they want it
to be. The 5 members of Seed: vocalist Jared Lee, guitarist Brandon
Tandy, bassist Kyle Paradis, drummer John Marocco, and guitarist Peter
Souza (who joined in September of 2004 following original guitarist
Jack Cuneo's departure), each bring their own diverse influences to
the table,
resulting in a truely genre defining sound. Therefore, you get results
such as long epics that incorporate many tempo, key, and time changes
(Requiem, Spirals) to heavy, balls-out trash tunes (Embrace the Plague,
Trenches, and the legendary "Fuggin Ship"), as well as everything
in between. This has been Seed's forte ever since it came together in
March of 2003. Yet as time progressed, so did the song writing. The
songs went from simple metal songs, to more intelligent and technical
writing, while still being listenable. So when you listen to Seed play,
you will more than likely find at least one song that suits your particular
musical preference, and hopefully the other songs will open your mind
up to the possibilities of what other styles of music can bring. Now
with the addition of Guitarist Peter Souza, the band now has a whole
new set of influences for their music. Already an acomplished and respected
local act, Seed is still only just beginning in its musical
quest.......
