These cards were created to send to family. I will add more samples as they become available.
This leaf design was removed from the card for scanning purposes. It was originally mounted behind a white frame border on the front of a card. The artists Canadian roots clearly coming through.
The pear design is mounted on pink card stock which is in turn mounted on a folded piece of Japanese paper that you can see peeking out on the left edge. Had to borrow this one from mom.
Each of these one-of-a-kind accordion book ornaments was carefully made with materials I've carted around with me since childhood, the shells from beaches in Australia, Oregon and the east coast USA. There is also some fabric bits from vintage kimonos from Japan.
Hang the book open or closed, with a message to a loved one, a poem, story or drawing. Maybe write something on one page every year. (Inside paper is acid free. Original design.)
