Content The text was generally written by me, Greg Hadaller. Where someone else has written something, I try to make that clear, either by using a by-line or a quotation. I also took most of the pictures, though Marc has free reign with the digital camera too and has has taken a few pictures.

Implementation These pages were put together by me, Greg Hadaller. I designed and wrote them by hand using just a text editor. I created the basic site was created before I left on the trip. Page updates and new content were created while underway.

Installation Since we don't have Internet access on the boat, updates to the pages are/were a little tricky. So for I've been emailing a zip file of the new and changed pages to my dad (Hal Hadaller) and he has been kind enough to install them on my web site.

Photos

All images (unless otherwise noted) were taken with my digital camera, a Kodak 210 Plus. I have three CompactFlash memory (i.e. film) chips for it, one 8 MB and two 16 MB. When the chip in the camera fills up, I swap it for an empty one and then next time I boot the computer I transfer the images to the hard disk.

The images on this site are not the full resolution of the photos. The camera will take photos at 1152x864, but I have the camera set to take them at 640x480. The camera also allows for three levels of compression. I have it set for the lowest level of compression (i.e., the highest quality). For my current use, the higher resolution images are overkill, though I imagine in 20 years I'll wish I had higher resolution images. I have been saving the images with a second level of JPEG compression to reduce their size (to save download time both for you and me). I intend Real Soon Now to make the full resolution images available on the web site by clicking on the images you see on the site. But for now, there are too many other things to do!
