This is the second of two pages covering the works of J. R. R. Tolkien. On this page you will find editions of The Silmarillion and various other Tolkien works for sale. To view listings for The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, click here.

Below you will find listings for works by Tolkien, about, and (in the case of the gaming materials) inspired by Tolkien. There's a lot to choose from, so I've grouped them as best I can. Note: A book graphic next to a title indicates that I personally have read and enjoyed this book. In fact, it may very well be in my own library.

You may scroll down the page to view all the options, or use the quick links below to jump straight to a certain title. (The links in the first column will carry you back to the first page of Tolkien books.)

The Silmarillion: Sort of a prequel to The Hobbit and LOTR. Covers creation mythology, the origin of the elves and the Dunedain, Beren and Luthien, and a bad guy so tough he makes Sauron look like Gollum. Indispensible to the true Tolkien fanatic.

The History of Middle: All the stories and bits of stories about Middle-earth that didn't make it into The Hobbit, LotR, or The Silmarillion. Written by J.R.R. Tolkien and published, with commentary, by his son Christopher. A must for the true Tolkien fanatic.

Grab Bag: Assorted short stories, poems, letters, and all kinds of stuff I wouldn't even begin to know how to classify.

Take Your Best Shot!: The books and collections in this section are listed by Amazon as being out of stock, on back order, on special order, or not published yet. I'm including them here because sometimes Amazon can find them for you, or at least put you on a waiting list for them. If you take a shot with one of these books, you'll need patience, perseverance, and a willingness to possibly be disappointed in the end. Still, if you want the book badly enough, you'll do whatever you have to in order to get it, right?

Can't find the author or book you're looking for? Use the search box below to browse the rest of Amazon.com's stacks quickly and easily.
