Jin LanGenbu Shichiseishi Inami
Real Name: Jin Lan Symbol: ushi ("cow") on front of right shoulder Constellation: Capricornus Age: 17 Birthday: January 16 Astrological Sign: Capricorn Eye color: Grey-blue Hair: Violet-black and reaching nearly to her waist. She normally wears her hair in a bun. Hanging from it is a long ribbon-wrapped plait of hair, along with two slightly shorter tails of hair on either side. Height: 160 cm (5' 3") Blood Type: A Birthplace: To Ken tribe, in the mountains in the Northwest of Hokkan Family and Friends: Her family, all dead consisted of her mother, father, and a younger sister. She has close friends which she considers her family in each of her country, including the Kou family in Shazenchou, Sailou and an elderly couple in Tolan, Hokkan. Hobbies: Gazing at the sky, playing her flute Seishi Ability: Her main power is that of controlling wind, or more specifically, the ice-cold winds of the North. She also has a connection to her element almost as if the wind were alive, and in addition to controlling the wind, can sense currents within a given distance. In fighting, enemies are normally dispatched quite easily with a strong blast of wind, but she can also create a shearing effect, which can slash at her enemy while keeping them enveloped in a whirlwind. If those aren't enough to stop her opponent, she can let loose with an icy blast of wind that freezes anything in its path, encasing it in ice. The colder the wind is, the stronger her powers, but she has considerable power no matter what temperature the wind is. She can, if need be, change the temperature of the wind to her liking, but doing so too much drains her and limits the length of time she can call upon her powers. In addition to her wind skill, she has her speed enhanced and can move more than twice as fast as a normal human. Skills and Abilities: Though they aren't part of her seishi powers, she has skills in fighting, and can hold her own in a fight even without using her abilities. Her abilities include knife fighting (her main weapon), some throwing ability, some ability to use the bow, and some martial arts. Personality: Orphaned at thirteen, Inami has been wandering for the past four years, journeying as far as Konan. Over this time, she has trained her skills and powers in anticipation for the day when she will fulfill her destiny to protect Genbu no Miko. She's quiet and thoughtful, with a serious air about her most of the time. This can make her seem aloof and cool, but she is actually a very kind and caring person, who can sometimes suddenly become outspoken and cheerful without warning. She prefers to stay in the background, and doesn't actively seek positions of power, but she has excellent advice more often than not, and can be counted on to make good judgements in critical situations. Though shy, she is not excessively so, and carries herself with confidence. She is quiet and kind, and for the most part gentle. However, she can be very vicious if she must. She protects those she cares about fiercely, and when she feels strongly about something, she believes wholeheartedly in it, doing everything in her power to defend her belief. She is a very kind-hearted person, radiating this feeling around her, and will sacrifice her own happiness for the sake of others'. She is understanding and forgiving, but not naive. On the contrary, she has seen and been through more than most people her age, and the impetuous fire which most teenagers have has been tempered out of her through her experiences. History: Inami was born to the Ken tribe. They settled themselves in the West of Hokkan, tucked away in a valley, so that they would be safe from the raids of other tribes. Here, she grew up living a happy childhood, unaware of her destiny as a seishi. Hers was a normal life, learning the typical tasks she would need to fulfill once she was married to her future husband, and even a few other skills, such as the care of animals and some tanning ability. At the age of 13, her happy life crashed down around her, though, when her entire tribe was killed in a massive avalanche. She too would have perished had her seishi power of wind not manifested then. She survived, but without her family, she soon was starving and freezing to death while wandering out in the wilds of Hokkan. After collapsing, she was picked up by some slave traders who tried to rape her. She fought back, and at this time, her powers of speed appeared, and she was able to outmaneuver them for awhile. Soon, though, she was burnt out and once again at the mercy of the men who had saved her. In a desperate atempt to free herself, she managed to kill one of the men and escape. After escaping, she collapsed once again on the side of the road, where she was taken in by a kind young merchant and his wife who lived near the Hokkan/Sailou
border. When she was strong enough, she thanked them and left them to wander around the four countries. Before leaving, though, she made the promise to return to
them every year, a promise she keeps wholeheartedly. In the other countries, she made friends whom she would work for in return for shelter, and occasionally,
skills. For four years, she lived as a wanderer, honing her skills while learning about the four countries.
