Family and Friends: Kayo's aged parents live in Sailou's capital city. He also had a younger sister, Aya, who died in an accident under questionable circumstances. She was struck by lightning when out working in her garden. No one, including Kayo himself, is quite sure if it was Kayo's powers or simply nature.(he is quite haunted by this) Kayo has two close friends, Hak-saeng, a 28-year-old glassblower, and Misao, a wanderer.(more to be told about them as the story progresses)

Personality: Kayo often appears to be very strong and independent, but he really tends to mold his life around other people. He is normally very calm and has very high morals.
