Q#11  Why Two Shortcuts to NPED

Two ( 2 ) desktop shortcuts are provided, for copying to your desktop.

[ Nped Limited ] - limits the mouse to the DOS window holding NPED.

As stated the mouse is restricted to this window.  This however means the mouse is more sensitive to the user.
If you prefer using the mouse this may be your general choice.
When a Report request is made to WordPad the report opens with the focus.  When WordPad is closed the control returns to this Window.

[ Nped AllApps ] - Allows control to move to other windows - ALL Applications.
The mouse is less responsive.
If you move outside of this window you must click in side of [ Nped AllApps } before NPED commands will work.

Here is [ Nped AllApps ] in action.  In NPED I made a request from the bird [ DETAILS F2 ] H - build coi file on the bird (3333 TC AU99 ).  With out leaving NPED I am able to invoke the COI application and open the newly created file.  When I am done in COI  I can close COI or minimize COI to the start bar.  To return to NPED You must click inside of the [ Nped AllApps ] window.

This is a less used opportunity.  It is picky but may save you some time.
This identifies the DOS windows mark box.

Click the Mark Box.
Move the cursor to the beginning of the field where you wish to start coping data.
Hold the Shift key and click the first character to be copied.  While still holding the shift key down click the last character to be copied.  This results a the identified rectangle being marked.

Now click the copy icon.

Here I moved to a new pair id.  Is the same pair mated in 04.  I clicked the Paste icon and the data copied in the above step is put where ever the focus is.

I don't use this often, but it is available.
