PED
- PEDIGREE PROGRAM
PED is a built on old technology for PCs and PC compatibles.
It is DOS 3.1 based and is written to print on the old dot-matrix
printers
at 66 lines per page and 132 characters per line. It does use an
indexed data base and is extremely fast. I've used the program
running
on DOS, windows 3.1 and windows 95. One meg of free space should
be more than enough room for Racing Pigeon hobbyists. If you have
the disk space, 640K or more memory and a program which will unzip
files
you are ready to go.
This program is freeware.
Printing may present itself as an issue. I invite the public
to
use the guest book on my home page to post solutions to printing issues
with ink-jet printers. This program will work fine with either HP
laser jet 4 and HP lazier jet 5 as well as most dot matrix printers.
