The Company

Pacific Online Systems Corporation was established as a private corporation in 1993. It was awarded an exclusive contract by the Philippine government to set up an online lotto system in the Visayan and Mindanao regions on behalf of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), the government agency tasked with raising and providing funds for health programs, medical assistance and services, and charities. Pacific Online started as a consortium of well-established Filipino, Malaysian, and American companies, namely Belle Corporation (Filipino), Tanjong plc (Malaysian), Abacus Gaming Corporation (Filipino), and Gtech Corporation (American). As part of the arrangement, Pan Malaysian Pools (the gaming subsidiary of Tanjong plc) was appointed as consultant to provide operational management services and implementation support to Pacific Online.

With about 400 terminals currently online, Pacific Online started commercial operations in 1996. Its goal is to expand its network into every population centre in the region with its state-of-the art computer hardware and systems maintained by its highly qualified personnel.

Pacific Online has executive offices in Pasig City (Philippine Stock Exchange Centre), data centre and business offices in Cebu City (Metrobank Plaza), and depots in the region.

Pacific Online has set its sight on becoming a major player in the gaming industry.
