"Child"

Dancing
between
the raindrops,
I falter.
A girl appears,
faintly silhouetted
on the shimm'ring sheet
of falling water.
Laughing brightly,
she jumps with glee
into a nearby puddle,
and disappears,
as if she dove into
the earth
itself.
"There went my soul,"
I think,
"jumping again
into the unknown
just to see
what is there."

"Discovery"

Fractures of our being,
like shards of glass,
come together--
fusing
in a moment
of clarity
something
about ourselves
that was
'til now
unknown.
"Inevitable"

Flailing, falling,
we sink slowly
underneath
the drowning dawn
of dissolving deceit.
One hand reaches,
rises,
only to be pulled under
by the massive force
of disillusion.
Truly the death of innocence.
