If you have never surfed a webring before, you don't know what you're missing. It is an awesome ride and one which will expand your mind, widen your horizons and make your butt so sore your legs will buckle under you when you stand up. But it's worth it. I have surfed some huge webrings (Random Acts of Kindness, for one....I'm half way through at 380!). The really, really fun part about surfing a ring and signing some guestbooks is that, besides bringing a moment of joy to the owner of that site and guestbook, it also increases the traffic to your own site three-fold. I'm not kidding. Try it. But please, try to find something about the person's homepage that you can comment on in the guestbook. I have another site that's just ruthless, derisive, sullen and sarcastic and I always know when someone didn't even bother to look at it when I see a message like this in my guestbook: You have such a lovely webpage. You are obviously a kind and caring person. I had a delightful time. God Bless you!" Here's another one I see a lot that is just plain bullshit. "I had a wonderful visit. Please join the Ladies of the Southern States March on Washington to Enforce Execution of all Homosexuals Webring." Yeah, uh, okay.
