Racing driver Caroll Shelby built his first cars in 1962. They were British AC chassis with a 4.2-liter Ford V8 engine - the legendary Cobra. He moved on to tuning Mustangs until 1970. Subsequently, Shelby worked with several other manufacturers, running racing programs or making high-performance versions of their cars. He is currently building the Shelby Series-1 sports car.
