Family Trades

There are 8 family trades.

Blacksmith- Forge weapons and armours for your caravan (your group of 8)

Tailor- Crafts accessories for your caravan.

Farmer- Grows wheat from wheat seeds… yum!

Rancher- Raises cattle for meat.(You get a lot of meat through the levels, so I don’t recommend this.

Miller- Mills wheat into flour.

Fisherman- What else? Catches fish!

Merchant- Offers items for sale to your caravan! (Awesome!)

Alchemist- Creates weapon and armour designs for your caravan.

Of these options, Alchemist, Merchant, Tailor, and Blacksmith are likely to be the most useful overall, but it’s still good to have each of your 8 characters have a different trade.

Multi-player!

Multi-player, is an awesome new addition to the final fantasy series, they sort of have it in FF Tactics Advanced, and in FFXI for the computer (relies on multi-player..). But in this, you can choose either or!

In multi-player mode, you must have 1 GBA(Game Boy Advanced) and 1 GBA connection link to the GameCube for every player (max 4). This prevents cluttering of the main screen with every ones stats. Instead, you can adjust your settings and such through the GBA. You are no longer able to fuse spells alone, instead you must team up with your friends and cast a combination of spells at the same time in a certain area!

Also, each player will have a different random radar on their GBA, one shows the map, one shows monster locations, one shows treasure locations, and the last shows the stats of the most recently defeated creature, including it’s weaknesses!

Of course, there are still 8 artifacts to be found in every level, each player has a different mission in each level, the GBA will tell you what it is, the person to do the best at their mission gets first dibbs on the artifact of their choice! Then 2nd, 3rd and finally 4th! These multi-player artifacts tend to be Extremely Powerful compared to normal artifacts!
