Glory, Death and Honor
By Christopher Joseph Gautrau
The dying men were waiting,
Their final stand had come,
As the enemy was approaching,
A beautiful song they sang
Of glorious death in battle,
And tragic heroes of old.
All were prepared to die
For their countys honor and pride.
Their wives and their children,
Because of this they could not
And would not hide,
Though none wished to die.
With a mighty shout
The enemy they did charge,
Though they be outnumbered
By more than could be counted.
Still they came,
With death in their eyes,
But love and pride in their hearts.
One last stand they would make,
For their loved ones they would never see again.
