The Tears of A Storm
By Christopher Joseph Gautrau
Lightning fills the night sky with light,
And the power of thunder roars.
The sky battles to reach the Earth,
Her voice raving with futile cause.
Tears falling cold upon the ground,
The wind howling with her pain,
The Storm swells with all her fury.
And yet for a brief painful touch
Will these ancient lovers caress.
Always can the other be seen,
But never will the two embrace.
