Transitioning After Becoming a Parent

I received this from a guy on a list that I am on. This is exact quotation from the email that he sent me.

  • "I have 2 boys. the oldest is 11, he is from my partner’s previous marriage but i have been parenting him by artificial insemination. i wanted another kid, she agreed. she is their biological mother. i have been stuck in a legal web for over 3 yrs, trying to get the adoption through of our youngest one. it'’ complicated, but hopefully will wind up in the next months.
my partner and i have been together for over 9 yrs. kind hit a rocky spot the past few months. not really sure where it is going yet.
i transitioned this past year. feeling really good about it."
