This shot shows both light shields in action. Both were attached to the same gameboy advance running the same game with the same batteries. Notice how in the housing the incandescent bulb looks brighter, but shines quite a bit less light over the screen.
You may notice the black line on top of the shield on the left which is not on the shield on the right, this is a small rubber strip that was on one of the light shields I bought, but not the other. I have no idea why the second one was missing but I'm sure it has to do with a lack of quality control in the production line.
The incandescent(original bulb) shield is shown on the right, while the modded shield with the white LED is shown on the left. Notice how in the shot of the original shield the shield itself is even tilted slightly more forward and it still cannot compete with the light of the white LED.
