Here are some screen shots of Zelda: Oracle of ages. Since the port puts out 5v instead of 3v when running a GB or GBC game the LED becomes extremely bright if you have the dimmer switch in the full on position. This is not recommended though since the 3.6v (at tops 4v) LED is being fed 5v, and will probably burn out very quickly.
In both sets of pictures, the 1st picture is shown with the dimmer switch at the lowest position, and then at the high position. As you can see the 3.6v LED is very bright when it's fed about 5v... Remember, I wouldn't recommend this since it will surely decrease the life of the LED drastically. Again, the glare is really not as prevalent when you are viewing it in real life, it's just nearly impossible to take a good picture under these conditions.
I'm looking into some more LEDs with higher mcd ratings because it would be awesome to get the bright 5v effect with the GBA games somehow. The only thing I don't want to resort to is using add on power to run the light... I'd like to keep it nice and neat using the link port.
