The May meeting of the BGG was brought to order by president Randy Paylor at 7:40 P.M.   Fourteen members were present.
Randy has not received any corespondence yet on the BGG's application to the Sara Corrie Fund for new surveying equipment.   Randy expects to hear something either after the BOG meeting or convention.
The Vertical Workshop has been postponed.   Randy attempted to contact the owners of the property in the Jessamine Creek gorge but they have been out of town.   Randy is awaiting a return call from the owners.   Jim C. mentioned the possibility of conducting a combination grotto meeting/workshop at the KGS barn.   If something comes up, a message will be posted to the list server.
Nothing new to report on Daniel Boone Cave or Crystal Cave.
A survey trip trip to Blowing Cave is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, June 7-8.   Jim Currens informed the group that there is plenty of room for camping.   Jim also said that if anyone from the grotto wants to cave without participating in the survey work, they are more than welcome.
At the April meeting, a motion was passed to have the grotto secretary maintain the current membership list.   We are still working on getting all of the membership information in one location.   Randy is working on new membership cards.
John Cole was unable to attend the May meeting so no Treasurer's Report was available.
Jim Currens introduced the group to his Kentucky Speleological Survey presentation.   Jim provided insight into the goals of the KSS and mountain of work to be done. (The work weekend scheduled for June 1st has been postponed)
Greater Cincinnati Grotto's Annual Karst-O-Rama will be held at the Great Saltpetre Cave Preserve July 18 - 20, 2003.
With no other topics to address, the meeting was adjourned at 9:00 P.M.
