BECAME A BLUE JAY: Signed as free agent, October 9th, 1988 Carlos had a solo shot at Minnesota on April 6th, 1999, it was his third career Opening Day homer, matching Gorge Bell's Blue Jay record.  Carlos set the Blue Jay mark with five runs, at Seattle on May 3rd, 1999-where he also equalled his career best with five RBI.  Forged Blue Jay standards for left-handed hitters (38 HR's, one into the fifth deck at the SkyDome's right field, plus 115 RBI) in 1998.
