The college library has an excellent collection of books, journals, magazines and technical publications by both Indian and Foreign authors that are not only relevant to the courses offered but are also of academic interest. The Central Library has a newly constructed modern building with a seating capacity for 200 readers and separate seating. arrangements are provided for staff members and Post-graduate students. There are about 56,600 books in the general library section and a lot many for book bank section. All the latest journals, magazines are made available to the students for various branches. A good collectionof books on General Knowledge and Competitive Exams is also present.

The library is looked after by a member of the staff who acts as the Officer-in-Charge and also has a Librarian for administrative purposes. 

Annual Library Expenditure: 
Total investment on Books & Journals during the last two years:
        a) Books (Rs.) : 3.5 Lakhs
        b) Journals (Rs.) : 0.5 Lakhs

Total Investment on Books & Journals as on date:
        a) Books (Rs.): 47 Lakhs
        b) Journals (Rs.): 3 Lakhs

Students of each year are allowed to borrow books from the library on a particular day of the week and retain the book for a period of two weeks. Renewal of the book provides an extension of one week. A library card is issued every year to all students.

The library is open during college working hours throughout  the semester and is open for use by students during the Preparatory Leave (PL) for longer hours. 

 Regular Hours: 10:45 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. 
 PL Hours:         8:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m.

Book Bank

The book bank is an extension of the library. Every semester, students of all  classes can take 3-4 books each from the book bank at a discounted value of 10% of the book's cost and retain the books till the end of the semester. This facility helps curtailing the students expenditure on books. The book bank is well stocked with numerous copies of each book required by the students.

Students are issued books based on their positional merit in their class. Positional merit is dictated by the previous examination appeared for. Books are issued to students at the beginning of each semester.
Both, the Library and the Book Bank are under an Officer     -in-Charge who is a staff member. A Librarian and Assisstant Librarian look after the day to day functioning of the library and book bank.
