Patternless leopard geckos are often incorrectly referred to as being leucistic, as when the morph first became available, this was it's name. They are not in fact a true leucistic, and therefore are no longer named after this trait. They are born with a pattern of brown splotches that fade as they mature, and as adults they have bodies devoid of pattern, generally with a white head and tail. Colour may vary from a bright yellow, to rather brownish, and can change according to mood. Recently created is a variation on this morph called the patternless albino, which is a cross between a patternless and an albino. These animals tend to have a much more consistent yellow colour, and their heads and tails are either pinkish or white.
