Planning to visit Mt Gede Pangrango National Park,  below I give you more information to help you. So you can planning about your visit to the National Park, maybe from Soekarno-Hatta Airport you planning to visiting Bogor Botanical Garden and others tourism near GPNP before or after visit the  Park. I think Bogor is a right place for your transits before visiting GPNP, why? Because the city of Bogor have many tourism area and government offices that can help you to more information about flora & fauna that can be seen specially in GPNP or West Java and Indonesia generally, the accomodation is good enough. Besides that Bogor is close near to everywhere (Jakarta: ±45 min; Bandung: ±3 hrs; Sukabumi: ±2 hrs; Cianjur: ±1 hrs). 

 

For example in Bogor you can visit many interesting places: Bogor Botanical Garden, Bogor Zoologi Museum, Bogor Presidential Palaces (booking required), traditional markets, Ciaruteun Inscription , Mt. Salak (2211 m), At-Ta'awun mosque, Puncak Area (famous place for weekends), Gunung Mas tea plantation, or maybe Pelabuhan Ratu beach in Sukabumi district and much more, please tell me more!
