Three Days En Femme Some of you may remember a page I had on the old website about my first trip to this cottage. Well I enjoyed so much that I had to come back! The place is an old farmstead converted to a holiday cottage at the head of an isolated valley in the Cheviots; Hills that run along the Scottish/English border. The cottage is spacious and warm, and most importantly, so isolated that I don't have to worry about people catching sight of me. So I can remain dressed all day and even potter outside. I went in winter so of course it was pretty cold, but I still managed to take loads of photographs!
In fact, knowing that the weather was likely to be poor I brought some photo-flood lamps with me so that I could shoot indoors, but typically all three bulbs blew in the first two hours! Luckily the weather was pretty good and I did manage to get outside quite a bit. The main pleasure for me is the length of continuous time that I can be 'en femme'. I find it takes time to move from my everyday male persona to my female one and a snatched hour dressing up never manages to touch the deeper aspects of my alter ego and hence give me that sense of really being myself. I need at least a day, and that is not easy to manage at home with the domestic hurly burly. So, what a glorious self indulgence to spend three whole days exploring my feminine side! You will notice that I am being pretty secretive about precisely where this cottage is. That's because I want to keep it all to myself! As usual, it's the photos that matter and here are a selection of them. The indoor ones were 'lit', so you can see how well I do as a lighting director!
