Antique Pierced Brooch of a running Deer.

Set in Silver with a gold overlay pierced middle section, this extraordinary brooch is set with marcasite and twist scroll work. Secured by spring pin and hook it measures approx 2 inches wide (5cms) and would have been handmade circa 1900's - 1920's. The centre design depicts a deer upon grassland and is formed from a single pierced plate. Very collectable....

Antique Brooch depicting bird in horseshoe.

Made in Sterling Silver with UK hallmark, this delightful little brooch has a 'Lucky' bird perched within a horseshoe and surrounded by flowers and leaves. Overlaid with gold and copper to the design this brooch has been professionally repaired at some time in its past...and we can easily see why. It is just too delightful to no longer wear.
