Introduction To Computers

This class is intended to Introduce new computer users to the hardware and software (types) commonly used to perform the daily work found in many of today's computerized offices. The setting is somewhat idealized in that the entire class is using identical PCs, Operating Systems, and Productivity Applications. It is slightly incomplete in that it only inferentially addresses the Internet, and makes no reference what ever to e-mail. The material covered was determined by a topical course outline used by a local Community College.  The text book "Computer Concepts 2000 and Windows", by Russel Stolins, published by Labyrinth is used as reference. Each student is required to purchase a copy. The first 3 sessions are based on this text, the remainder was developed by me.
