This stool is a mixed media work that contains bead painting and wood carving. The stool is first carved and bead work followed.

The work is showing acrobatic dancers, playing for the people. Their drummers are beating drums for them. Their dance styles are mouth opening to all spetators because of the flexibility, grace and power exhibited by these dancers.

The work shows the virgin carrying the calabash on her head. This is th ecalabash containing the sacrificial materials used in the groove of Osun. The king is shown in his full traditinal attire. Drummers are beating their drums, dancers dancing and all are making merry. The jungle managers (monkeys) are also watching.

Gelede mask is painted in this picture. Gelede is a special kind of a social masquerade that entertain people. It is found in the Yoruba land of the south western Nigeria. This masquerade is proclaimed to be the most beautifully decorated masquerade existing. This massquerade is beautiful, peaceful, entertaining and harmless.

This carving is a figure of a mounted warrior. He is riding on a horse with all the weapon of war on him. Joguomi literarily means "Let's have peace" in yoruba languge.

This work is showing a man hiding behind a mask, showing his half mask and another man standing with full strenghth on one leg trying to lift another man - This seems just impossible.

Carved in this figure is the image of Oduduwa, the progenitor of the Yoruba people. The figure is simply expressing the diversity of the Ypuruba culture. It shows a woman with a calabash on her hand, a man and another woman dressed in a full traditional attire, a hunter and a famer. On the base of the work are musical intruments and carved ball inside - The dexterity of the carver.
