In the year of 1916 President Wilson participated in a Father's Day celebration in Spokane by pushing a button in Washington DC which unfurled a flag in Spokane.

In 1936 a National Father's Day Committee was formed. It was not until 1972 that Father's Day was officially made the third Sunday in June. One of my favorite presents for anyone is to make them a dinner. They pick anything they want.

My dad was a funny person. He was always telling jokes. Especially about him and his two brothers and all the pranks they pulled, especially on their teachers.

So far I have come up with George Burns and his real life son Ronnie Burns. It shows Burns and Allen starting in 1950. Lucy started in 1951. But the Burns and Allen show may have been a variety show, though they did have family skits. I know there were other shows, but so far none show up with children on the programs. I will continue to check. Now I have found more info. Jackie Gleason starred in the original version of The Life of Riley with Babs and Junior as his children in 1949. I did not know this.

..Turn trivia into a Father's Day game. Have everyone name as many fathers or father's children whose actual names or character names started with R etc. Like Richie Cunningham, Ricky Ricardo, Little Ricky, Ricky Nelson, Ricky Stevens, Ricky Segall. Have fun..you could use dad's whole name and take turns. Use my questions, give extra points for multiple questions.
