Programming Stuff
This part of the site is under major contruction, so please bear with me.
Welcome to the programming section of this site. I'm considering posting some basic lessons on C, but for now I'll just put up a few programs.
Programing Stuff
Farmer.zip
A Farmer, a dog, a goose and a cabbage have to get across the river. the farmer has to row, and can only carry one item in his boat. The goose will eat the cabbage if left alone, and the dog will chase the goose if left alone. How do they get across? This program doesn't solve it, but lets the user attempt to.
Cookie.zip
My fortune cookie program! As of now, there are around 400 different messages.
l.zip
A DIR replacement I wrote, with many other features. Uses ansi to color hidden, system, or read only files, gives system info, time date, and I also put in a go fish game(Really. Text based tho).
Altar32.zip
Program an altair, if you know what that is. Also comes with an IMSAI emuluator. Fun!
So what compiler should I get?
Well, for C/C++, it depends on the price.
If you don't want to spend any money, or don't have any, DJGPP is good(See links section).
If you're looking for a cheap one, Borland C/C++ is good. As of this writing, I beleive it is $39.95. Thier site moved. You can still get the software tho.
If you want a professional level compiler, I reccommend Watcom C/++. It's the one I use.
