Dark Refrains

Now that we are parted I long for solitude
To day-dream
Of times that we have shared
And events that may one day be.
I long for the joy of night-time
Where sleep can carry me away
And my unconscious mind
Unites me with you.
Though these hours charm my thoughts
And let my fantasies run free
Nothing can compare to the bliss
Of when you are here with me.
