Dark Refrains

Georgina Hannah Ormrod

Anticipation

Waiting for the time when you arrive,
So stupid and giddy like a child,
Tingling so much I could explode,
Butterflies churn up half eaten breakfast
As I walk around wearing a demented grin.
Time is slowly plodding along
Whilst I am hyper-active
With a racing heartbeat and fidgeting hands.
This feeling is amazing
And I relish it,
For I know that only you can make me this manic,
And I love that;
The way you affect me so
Even during anticipation.
