1 - 2 1/2” to 1 1/2” gated wye

Object:
The object of this event is to connect three (3) sections of 1 1/2”
hose, attach a nozzle and connect to a water source in a reverse fashion,
knocking over three (3) targets against the clock.
At the start signal, five (5) persons wearing boots,
and helmet will advance ten (10) feet to the equipment area and connect the
following:
1. Three (3) sections
of 1 1/2” hose staged in any fashion (i.e., storage roll rip-rapped, double
donut, etc.).
2. One (1) each 1 1/2” nozzle.
Equipment
may be connected on the move. No
equipment may be pre-connected. Members
will proceed in a direction towards the supply engine and attach the hose line
to the 2 1/2” gated wye. Engine
pressure will be 100 PSI. The
nozzle man shall remain at the starting point and proceed to target limit point
#1 (one foot must be on 1’ painted square).
Water can be charged at anytime. Nozzle
man will knock over target #1 and shut down nozzle then proceed to target #2
limit point (one foot must be on 1’ painted square).
Nozzle man opens nozzle and knocks down target #2.
Nozzle man must shut down nozzle and proceed to target #3 limit, point
and then knock over target #3 with water from nozzle (one foot must be on 1’ painted square).
Time will stop when target #3 strikes the ground.
Manpower can be utilized however deemed necessary..
No foul line. A two (2)
second penalty will be added if nozzle man fails to have at least one foot in
painted box.
