SKID LOAD

Equipment Needed:  1 - 2 1/2” hose 
                                  2 - 1 1/2” hose 
                                  2 - 1 1/2” nozzles 
                                  1 - 2 1/2” to 1 1/2” gated wye 

Fire Gear Needed:   Helmet and Boots 

Number of People:   Five (5) 

Object:      To connect and extend a skid load across the finish line. 

 At the whistle, the team will connect the two (2) nozzles to the two (2) 1 ½” lines, connect the two (2) 1 ½” lines to the wye, connect the wye to the 2 ½” line, and connect the 2 ½” line to the gate valve. The lines are then extended past the finish line 90’ away. The equipment may be set up any way the team chooses behind the start line. None of the equipment may be pre-connected. All connections must stay connected as the hose crosses the finish line. Time is stopped when the 2 nozzles and all five (5) team members have crossed the finish line. If a connection disconnects, team members may go back, make the connection and proceed back across the finish line.
