Pinpointing

Pinpointing is to produce a map of a territory with your resources pinpointed on it or rather drawn as an additional layer of points overlaying the territory map.

Pinpointing (a.k.a. geocoding) could be, also, to allocate your resources to a certain locality area on the map.

Why Pinpointing?

Managers with 'conventional' databases that only store mailing addresses of clients homes, warehouses, retailing shops, etc. need to see how they appear on the map and are interweaving together. Moreover, they need to see what territories they move in and their spatial behavior.

In some cases pinpointing few hundreds points could be handled manually which deceivingly seems like doesn't need much GIS pinpointing. But our service goes beyond that and uses the datamap's points values stored in their built-in database to generate a 'summary surface' with special contouring indicating the distribution and density of a certain phenomenon represented in the database values.

Please call or email us for more information about Pinpointing.

How Pinpointing Is Done?

Your database must contain a column/field that contains mailing addresses. Specific format for mailing address is preferred, but other forms could be handled. Pinpointing is done partly automatically, but for most parts, manual pinpointing a datamap must be done.

What Are Pinpointing Deliverables?

It really depends on your needs. It could be delivered in digital GIS datamaps format, but if you wish it in a more finished state, a report will be compiled and printed out (including maps designed specifically for A4/A3 reports or spread on the wall).
