Prologue
If you asked her why it happened, she doesn't know. If you asked her who made the first move, well she couldn't answer that either. It just...happened.
All she knew is she couldn't sleep that night. Maybe it was the caffeine she had drank before going to bed. Or maybe it was the thought of Christina, and how she couldn't get her out of her head. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn't get the image of her face out of her mind. It just seemed like it belonged there--just as her arm or her brain--she couldn't take it out, it was a part of her mind, body, and soul.
Chapter 1
******Earlier That Night******
She walked into the room with Justin, holding his hand tight, but couldn't help notice Justin's eyes not moving off of Lance, but they stayed on him, frozen like a magnet to a refrigerator.
It never really bothered Britney though. She didn't really date Justin. It was his cover-up for dating Lance. When he had first told her, 'N Sync, and his family, they just couldn't afford for him to lose his reputation, lose all his fans, because he was gay. So they begged Britney--Britney, one of his best friends since MMC--to be his cover-up. "Go out with him. Kiss him when there are cameras around. For the record, you're both desperately in love." By declining, Britney would be betraying her best friend, so why not?
The room was filled with people--'N Sync, Backstreet Boys, Christina Aguilera, Jessica Simpson, 98 °, O-Town--just to name a few. It was a simple private after-VMA's party. The smell of alcohol filled the air. Erik and JC were in the corner, laughing simultaneously at something funny, while drinking beer. Drunk, obviously. Chris and Nick C. were playing pinball, their eyes glued to the ball. Joey was on the dance floor, begging Christina to grind with him. In reply, she giggled and politely declined, so he moved on to Jessica.
Justin looked around, and seeing no paparazzi or media anywhere in site, he ripped his hand away from Britney's, and made his way to Lance, who was sitting beside Nick now, smiling at Justin to come over. Now Britney was alone standing there, so she sat down on the chair, and started drinking a Pepsi, while Justin and Lance stared into each others eyes dreamily, with sparkles in their eyes, looking like they were just about to jump on each other and make out then and there, in front of everybody.
Britney shook her head, and sipped at her Pepsi. She felt so lonely. Justin basically ignored her now, ever since he had found Lance. They used to be best friends, too. And now, it never even occured to him that she was lonely. He didn't even notice her. His attention was only focused on Lance now. Sighing, she put her Pepsi down on the table beside her.
"Hey, Brit." Britney felt a sudden jolt as someone's arm brushed against her, making her jump, almost frightened. Her head snapped back, and she looked into the face of Christina Aguilera, her longtime friend from MMC. Christina sat down on the empty chair beside Britney, smiling at her.
"Hey Chrissy. Why aren't you dancing with Joey?" Britney chuckled, picking up her glass again and bringing it to her mouth, sipping slightly.
Shrugging, Christina replied. "Ya looked lonely here, Brit. Besides, Joey is grinding with Jessica now." Christina smirked, and pointed her head towards Joey and Jessica on the dance floor. Joey was excited obviously, dancing really close to Jessica.
Britney laughed and set her glass down on the floor, then catching a glance at Christina, and grinned. "Aw, that's sweet."
"So how's life? I haven't seen you in forever. And just by watching your interviews lately, I've found myself to be missing you alot. You know, the Mickey Mouse Club days. Those were great."
"Seriously? No one ever misses me." Britney sighed deeply. "But life is great. You know, touring and all that." No, Britney thought, Life sucks.
"Really, Brit?" Christina looked at her with a certain worry in her eyes. Ever since they've been friends, Christina could always see through Britney. And just by seeing that look in Christina's bright baby blue eyes, Britney knew she had again.
"Ugh, no Chrissy." Britney shamefully looked down on the hard tile floor, and bit her lip. "Before Lance, Justin and I were best friends. Now he's found some guy, and he doesn't even talk to me anymore. I'm so lonely."
She heard Christina sigh, and then Christina's arms wrapped around her neck, pulling her in close for a hug, and whispered into Britney's ear. "Justin's an ass then. But Brit, just call me or whatever next time you feel lonely, okay? You know I'd never be like that."
Britney rested her chin comfortably on Christina's shoulder, closing her eyes and whispering back. "Thanks, Chrissy. That means so much to me."
"Yo!" JC's voice. Interrupting them. Britney pulled away from Christina's arms, and shot JC a dirty look. JC raised an eyebrow, obviously had X-Rated thoughts racing through his mind at them being close.
"What, Josh?" Britney snapped at him in an obviously annoyed tone of voice.
"Uh...Justin and Lance are leaving for the hotel. They told me to tell you there's paparazzi outside and everything. You'd better go." JC told her, and ran back to Nick, who he was still talking to.
Britney sighed, and gave Christina a hug, then pulled back, looking into Christina's eyes. And then she saw it.
Maybe it was the first time she saw it, but it seemed so oddly familiar, Britney was sure she saw that gleam in Christina's eyes before--the same one that Lance and Justin got by looking at each other--but just didn't notice it until tonight, and Britney knew that Christina had seen the same gleam in Britney's eyes too. It had just lasted for a second, but in that second, Britney felt something she had never felt before--maybe she had, but just didn't realize it--until now.
"Britney!" Justin's voice calling her.
"I got to go." Britney pulled her eyes away from Christina's, before rushing to Justin and Lance.
Justin grinned at her, as he pulled Britney's jacket sleeve on her arm.
She grabbed it from her, and snapped. "What are you smiling at me for?"
"You think we didn't see that, Britney? You've got a thing for Christina, don't you?" He chuckled softly.
She rolled his eyes at him. "Justin, shut up. You know, this is really starting to annoy me. I was talking to her, and you and Lance have to go to the hotel." She pulled on her jacket, glaring at him.
"Geez, sorry, Brit. We have a lot to do tomorrow. We have to go." Justin frowned at her.
The three of them walked to the hotel room in silence, the only noise being cameras flashing all around them. Justin and Lance walked Britney to her hotel room, before heading to theirs.
"Goodnight, Britney." Lance smiled warmly at her, taking Justin's hand in his.
"Bye, Brit." Justin smiled at her crookedly, while Britney unlocked the door and stepped in.
"Yeah, bye Justin. Bye Lance." She mumbled, and slammed the door in their faces.
All she wanted to do now was take a long bubble bath and go to sleep. Besides, she had a long day tomorrow. Concert, interview, press conference. But for some reason, after she took a bath and got ready for bed, lying in bed, she couldn't sleep. She just stared at the ceiling, thinking about Christina. Thinking about whatever it was she felt earlier that night. No matter what she tried to think of, anything else, she couldn't get Christina out of her head.
Chapter 2
So, next thing she knew, Britney tossed on jeans and a tight baby blue t-shirt, and was walking down the hallway to Christina's room. And now she was in the elevator, going up to Christina's room. She knew Christina would stay up late tonight, probably writing in her journal, just like she did back in MMC.
When she got to Christina's room, she knocked on the door, now nervous.
"Come in!" Christina's voice shouted from the other side of the wall.
Britney opened the door slowly, hearing it creak as she opened it. She stepped in, and closed the door behind her.
Christina didn't even look the least bit surprised to see Britney, she just smiled knowingly and said, "Hey, Brit. Come over here." Christina put down the journal she was writing in, and patted the bed that she was laying on.
Britney gulped nervously, and walked over to the bed and lay down beside Christina. "I couldn't sleep." Britney sputtered out, looking at Christina calmly laying there. Christina's head turned back to Britney, and she smiled as their eyes met.
"I know." She simply said, as she brought her hand up and onto Britney's head, playing with the fine strands of hair, and caressing her scalp softly.
The next thing Britney knew, Christina was ontop of her body, and their tongues were dancing in each other's mouths, as clothes came off. Piece by piece.
Now Britney's hands were on Christina's head, holding her head in place as the two girls kissed.
All Britney could think was, This feels so good. But this is Christina. What is wrong with me?
But with Justin and Lance off-- not being able to keep their hands off each other--, and Britney's mom being so busy--too busy to even call her--, her friends not understanding anything and being too busy with college, and everyone else shouting out names such as 'Slut!' and 'Bitch!' at her when she was at the mall with Rob, life couldn't suck more. This was the best thing that had happened to her for a year, so this time, this night, she simply didn't care.
The next second, Christina's head pulled away from Britney's grasp, and moved down. Her hands touched Britney's inner thighs, caressing up to her panties, and then pulling them off.
Britney gasped as she felt Christina's tongue slide inside of her. She had never felt anything of anyone's go inside her before, and it felt so good, so right, but she still couldn't get the voice in her head that kept repeating. This is wrong. This is wrong. This is wrong. Britney closed her eyes tight, and thought I don't care what's right anymore. I can't go on living a shitty life, just because it's right. So fuck it.
Christina's tongue was moving in and out of Britney now, brushing her clit, making Britney moan in pleasure. It kept going, in and out. In and out. In and out.
Her tongue is IN me. What am I, a lesbian? Britney couldn't help but feel like one. Christina's hands were caressing Britney's inner thighs, intensifying the pleasure. And the Christina's hands moved, groping Britney's ass, and her face was in Britney's pussy, and Britney could swear that the people in the other room could hear her moan. But now, she wasn't just moaning. She was way past moaning. Now her legs were thrashing, and she was trying not to kick Christina, as she screamed her name loud. It was like the noises she always heard coming from Justin and Lance's room. Loud. Moans.
Britney was screaming so loud, she could swear tomorrow her voice would be completely gone. Her vocal chords totally fucked. She felt fucked. Totally fucked. Exhausted too.
Her hips bucked wildly, and her legs thrashed wildly, as her orgasm came. She came into Christina's mouth, screaming as she did.
The rest of the night was just a blur of kisses and caresses, and all Britney remembered was how it felt.
*****
So now, she was lying, naked, in Christina's bed, with Christina sleeping beside her. And all she could think about was last night. What was that?
"Hey, Brit." Christina awoke suddenly, and twirled a lock of Britney's blonde hair inbetween her fingers.
Britney couldn't help but stare at the blonde girl lying down beside her, looking back into her eyes. She was confused.
"What was that?" Britney asked Christina.
Christina smiled and kissed Britney softly, before rolling over on top of her. "Whatever you want it to be."
Britney bit her lip, thinking hard. She wanted it to mean something. She wanted it to mean what she felt. And she knew, just one night--that night--wasn't enough.
"I want it to mean something."
Christina looked at Britney with a certainty in her eyes. She knew what Britney felt. She always knew, that this, was what Britney had always wanted.
Christina titillated Britney gently, and Britney simply said. "I love you, Chrissy. I always have."
Christina rolled over, and gently pushed Britney's head so it was facing her. Their eyes remained in contact.
"I love you too, Britney."
