I apologize for the lateness of this update. Everything is
happening so...fast.....Lisa left her rehab on December 20th
to come home. We have been trying to keep up with her ever
since. The holidays went flying by and we all got to see many
family and friends along the way. Christmas was amazing. Lisa
loved every minute. We even went to candlelight service at
11:00 and took communion together. It was a very special and
moving time! Lisa only used her wheelchair for one day and
decided she would use the walker instead. The wheelchair does
however come in handy during shopping trips or any other outings
that require lots of walking. She continues to improve in
all areas. Her therapists now come to the house while she
acclimates herself to being home. All in all the transition
could not have gone any better.
Thank you all so much for your prayers.............. 2004
is going to be a VERY GOOD YEAR!

Lisa has been home for a month now and doing very well. She
has adjusted easily and is very relaxed and content. She continues
her in-home therapies as we look into some outside resources
for theapy for her to continue when these are done. Lisa is
walking so well she rarely uses her walker only on long outings.
Her mood is sweet and funny. Her great sense of humor (especially
about her short term memory) keeps us all smiling. Lisa has
had lots of visitors and it's been so fun to see her face
light up when an old friend stops by. Her long term memory
is great but gets a little fuzzy when remembering events from
the last few years. We (the family) are still adjusting to
the newness of having Lisa home and are still in a daze to
all that has happened these past months. We feel blessed that
our girl has come home and that we have witnessed a true miracle.
We send our thanks and prayers to all of you that have participated
in this "ongoing", "miraculous", road to recovery..........Blessings
to All
