Lisa has been doing really well. She is being weaned off the phenobarbiltol( for seizures) Her awake times are increasing! She is having much more movement in her arms and legs and YES she is smiling all the time. Her talking comes and goes, but we constantly try to encourage her to express herself.

Lisa's 30th birthday is Wednesday July 9th! I think we will have some kind of celebration at the hospital. We praise God we CAN! If you would like to send her a "Happy Birthday" mail correspondence to:

Our family wanted to wish Lisa a very special 30th Birthday and thank everyone for lending a helping hand. Lisa like wine and age is getting better every day, and god blessed her with a very special gift for her birthday...; LIFE

The Birthday week was amazing! Lisa was in rare form. Laughing and smiling and even trying to grab hold of her packages. She ate flavored Ice (yummy) and smiled at Leslie's™s dancing. Her expressive eyes said it all. She was happy and overjoyed to see all her family and friends. What an inspiration she is! These past two weeks we have seen more improvement then in the past few months. She's on her way! We continue to Walk in Faith each and everyday. What a journey, what an awesome God we serve! We received a very moving and powerful e-mail we would like to share with you, It is under touching e-mails and poems on the home page. It is our hope that someone else may benefit from this story too!

Watch out world Lisa is moving! Yes it is true...She started with a toe, then her foot and now her leg. She is reaching for items and is SHAKING hands on command! Huge steps she has made.......She still has a long way to go to gain her strength and be more consistent, but with her determination it's only a matter of TIME! Keep the prayers coming....they are working miracles! Blessings to all.

After a few hard days of frustration and crying Lisa has redirected that energy to move more, laugh more and swallow food once again. She shook her head NO to lemon yogurt but loved the mashed potatoes (even licked her lips).... Cousin Tony (Orlando) Franny, and Jenny Rose stopped by to cheer her up and offered to do a benefit concert for her in the fall. Lisa lit up when they came and it was evident by the look on her face she enjoyed the visit....One of Lisa's favorite nurses is in the ICU at Mission. We ask for prayer for this kind,gentle and giving man. His name is Radu and can use all the prayers you can send his way..... Your prayers are powerful...keep them coming.

Lisa is improving everyday. She is mastering the TV remote, eating two snacks of shaved ice a day, waving bye, blowing kisses and her words are becoming clearer! We are so proud of her determination and hard work! She 's an inspiration to us all! Keep the prayers coming they are working miracles
