Our July 4th celebration was so much fun. Lisa ate chili, danced a few
dances, and enjoyed the company of old friends while she watch
fireworks from the park. What a difference from last year where we could see
the fireworks from her hospital room and couldn't keep her awake long
enough to watch! Last year Lisa could only open and shut her eyes and this
year she is dancing! What a miracle, what a gift, what a testimony to
God's great healing power and to the power of prayer. Thank you all for
being part of this great recovery!

Lisa's birthday week end was FABULOUS! We started off on Friday
with a special birthday lunch given by the girls at Mission
Lutheran (were she worked before the accident) and then it
was off shopping with Aunt Chris for a birthday outfit and
then a Pizza (her favorite) b-day dinner. On Saturday we were
up and packing for a fun-filled day. We started the day at
the Prospect (Blue Cross) Annual gathering at Irvine Lake
where they awarded Lisa with the "Courage, Compassion and
Commitment" award and a large gift certificate. We were able
to thank the people who have helped Lisa every step of the
way in her recovery and it was so good that they were able
to see that their efforts made her recovery possible. Thank
you ALL! We then were off to the beach party where 200 of
our closest friends spent the day (and night) celebrating
Lisa' and her amazing journey! It was a great time to reflect
on the past 22 months and to thank everyone for all their
support! Lisa would not be where she is today without all
of you! Sunday Lisa browsed through her gifts and cards and
watched the video of her party. She is amazed everytime she
sees it and she said that she "feels so blessed to be surrounded
by so many wonderful people who love her." It truly inspires
her to strive on toward her goal of a complete recovery ....................which
requires a lot of hard work on her part. Thank you for your
inspiration, love, encouragement and prayers! They DO make
a difference!
