Lisa is doing amazingly well....she had 63 staples taken out of her head from her surgery and the swelling is way down. She is much more cognitive of what's going on around her, which is good but creates tears and frustration for her. Her therapists sat her up and dangled her feet over the bed and she actually held herself up for awhile! She's getting stronger and we are seeing a lot of determination on her part to get up and out of there! We are on the road to recovery and discovery.

Lisa is amazing! She played a practical joke on her Aunt Mel, Shannan, and her Dad this week-end. All three times she laughed and smiled and it warmed our hearts. What strength of character and spirit she has! What an example of walking in faith she is. She inspires me so... I can't wait to hear the stories she has to tell...........Sunday was amazing and awesome! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! The day was full of joy, love and inspiration. The circle of family and friends that surround Lisa is like no other! We are in the process of putting a new link up with all the details of Sunday's event, so stay tuned..

Lisa has been in great spirits. I think she is thrilled about last weekends walk and we look forward to showing her the video her Uncle Bill made of the day. Lisa has been okay'd to take trips off the hospital grounds. She is learning how to get into a wheel chair and is practicing going around the facility. We will start off with short trips and are really excited to introducing the world to her again...
Keep the prayers coming.

Lisa really enjoyed seeing the video of the walk. The expressions on her face were priceless. She is smiling much more on a regular basis, it's great to see. She is so aware of what is going on around her and responding to it. She loves her walks around the hospital and going outside for fresh air too! She is fascinated with the fish aquarium and we always try to include it in our walks. She is diligently trying to move her body, it's frustrating but she keeps trying.........
We pray she WILL find the connection....
God will Honor her request........
THINK MOVE :-)

Lisa just had her first taste of food in nine months. It was vanilla pudding....sounds good? But, they colored it BLUE to track it's flow. Lisa swallowed her first bite but Dad and Mom had to take the next few. She was NOT happy with BLUE pudding until we all stuck out our BLUE tongues and laughed! It was an unforgettable moment.
