June 10, 2005
I apologize for the lateness of this update. All of our schedules
are quite hectic, with never a moment to spare. In May we
took the family to Laughlin, Nevada for some needed R & R.
We celebrated Aunt Chris (big) birthday, reunited with Bobb's
cousin Cheryl and his cousin Tony. We all (30 of us) had a
great time at Tony's concert (see new pictures) Thank you
to Tony and his wonderful band for an amazing night and for
dedicating the concert to Lisa. (Not a dry eye there) We did
miss Uncle Bill and Kelly that weekend. Bill was home healing
from his accident. He is doing remarkable and says thank you
to everyone who held him up in prayer! IT WORKED!
Lisa just completed her first semester at Coastline College.
Her progress went from not even remembering she attended school,
to knowing everyone in her class by name. She has been switch
to a higher level learning class for the summer and we are
excited to see her take on the challenge. Though she never
looks forward to going we are hoping a more stimulating environment
will help to change that. Lisa's short tern memory continues
to improve ever so slightly. It's so encouraging to see improvement
in that area! Lisa still struggles with everyday decision
making. We can't figure out if she doesn't trust herself to
make a decision or if it is just a hard thing for her to do.
Daily life has its challenges, not just for Lisa, but also
for the whole family. Trying to live life as it once was is
impossible and frustrating. We are all on this new journey
together. Figuring it out as we go, and letting God direct
our steps. Thank you for your continuing prayers and support.
God bless you and may the summer days ahead be filled with
lots of love and laughte
