Lisa was given all types of tests to make sure she is infection
free for her surgery. So far they have all come back negative. She
looks great and was very alert Sunday. We have been playing home movies for
her: "high school dances" "house boating trips" "holidays" etc......she
loves them! She really responds to hearing and seeing all those
familiar faces and voices. We are trying to find a "Hyperbaric" facility for
Lisa close by.. This oxygen therapy has been recommended for her but we
are unable to find a location she can go to.....
Any info on this please
e-mail us.

The weather has been beautiful here and Lisa has been enjoying all the sunshine.
She has done very well on her physical therapy and is responding to
commands better each session. She is getting stronger and is healthy.
The surgery on the 19th should be a go.......
Lisa's friends and family have organized a 5K walk/run fund raiser
for her on Sunday June 8th at 1:00 at Mission Lutheran Church in Laguna
Niguel. We hope many of you can participate and join in with us to
"CELEBRATE LIFE" with a "WALK OF FAITH".

We are waiting on when and where Lisa's surgery will take
place. There were a few hang-ups so when they are ironed out we will let
everyone know the details. We did however iron out the problems with down
loading the fund raiser links. You should be able to access them now.
We appreciate all the enthusiasm for the event and hope to see many of
you there. Lisa had a great weekend and is getting more mobile. She is
turning her head left and right and seems to be much more alert of what
is going on. She even played a practical joke on her Aunt Chris!

Lisa's surgery was about 4 hours long and went smoothly. So far
everything looks great and she was opening her eyes when we called out
to her and even responding with a small smile. We are letting her rest today but will be
"bugging" her again tomorrow.
Thank you ALL for your prayers, they were powerful!
God made his presence known.

It was a long weekend and we are looking forward to going back
to Laguna early today. Lisa has been through the worst of it and had to
endure a blood transfusion yesterday. (took 4 hours to find a vein)They
ended up putting the IV in her foot! OUCH. She looks great and her eyes
are sparkling today. Thank you Beverly for your life-saving gift of
blood and thank you ALL for your prayers.
