The transfer went very smooth. When Lisa left South Coast they sent her off with hugs, cheers, and some tears. She, all the while was blowing kisses to the staff who were lined up all along the hallways out side of her room to the elevator. The scene was right out of the movies. Her new space at Tustin is just perfect. Lots of space, quite when she needs it and the nurses station is right outside of her door. She was assessed by her doctors, therapists and nurses the first 24 hours then her daily schedule was posted. She is going to be one BUSY girl for the next few weeks. Re-learning and retraining can be grueling and there is a fine line of balance. Please pray for strength and endurance and for her spirits to remain high. Love and Blessings to All!

Lisa is responding very well to all her therapies. Her personality is delightful and funny and very upbeat. She knows she has to work hard to achieve her goals. She really wants to improve her short term memory and her speech therapists are doing just that. She has met many new people, nurses, doctors, therapists, aides, and patients at her new facility. The atmosphere is very positive and she continues to make progress everyday. Besides the 3 hours of therapy Lisa loves to play cards and games. She does have a tendency to cheat a bit but does do her share of winning. She told us that she was "naturally talented" when it came to playing cards. It must run in the family. Ha HA. It is really amazing to witness Lisa's recovery. Keep the prayers flowing, they are working miracles!!!!!!!!!!

Lisa is remembering more and more each day. Her wonderful sense of humor makes whatever she says humorous. There are times that she expresses profound insight into what has happened and how she feels about what is going on now.She is looking forward to coming home,(even though she would like to be in a place of her own.) I watched in amazement as she walked with minimal assistance with the walker around the floor of the rehab center. She loves being independent and knows she is getting better. Lisa is working very hard,(around the clock) to get ready to come home. Please pray that she will keep her eyes on her goals and that she will not loose that fighting spirit of hers..........

We are all so excited that Lisa gets a day-pass for Thanksgiving! We are planning on gathering with family to share in this special outing. Lisa continues to make huge strives in her rehab. She is re-learning how to go up and down stairs, taking care of her personal grooming and lots of cognitive activities. Her attitude is still positive and she is looking forward to going home. (we are too) Her short, dark hair was really bothering her so a few highlights lifted her spirits. She wants to get better and that is half the battle. She believes that God has given her all the tools she needs to achieve her goals. Her faith has no boundaries, she will make it all the way!. It is hard to express in words the thankfulness in our hearts today. We are so blessed by your prayers and support. Miracles happen!....... May God bless you today with His love and fill you up with His joy!
