Labour - not for the first time, women were in the workforce. They worked in factories at home, buildling aircraft parts, ammunition, etc. to help in the war effort. This was also a good way to support their families, since the men were at war. |
Women - women were in their prime, doing things they'd never had the chance to do before. They were feeling stronger, more able than any time before the war. |
