Just wanted to let you know that Banshees (in folklore) are
always female. They are known as "bean si" (Fairy Woman)
in Irish folklore, and haunt the hills of Ireland and Western
Scotland.
Irish legend has it that they haunt the male descendants of the man who has wronged them, sometimes for generations, and their screaming almost always preceeds a death within that family. In Scotland, she is known as the "old woman by the ford", and is usually seen washing bloody clothing in the river. Needless to say, she is not welcomed by either group.
Right at the moment, I make my Banshee stand in Michigan. My
roots, however, are undeniably Irish/Scotch (which means I am
constantly at war with myself!!).
I am devoting this page to Banshees and their habits, (plus
other mythological figures), and will keep it updated! If you
would like to read a story about Banshees, click here.
Personally, I think Dragons are really cool!, and will probably devote a page or two to their habits as well. If you'd like to read a story about a dragon, click here.
Down below are a few links to cool chat programs I know of.
Pirch is for IBM, and Ircle is for MACS. With them you can hear
sounds and see colors, design popups, and much more, plus they
are shareware. Enjoy!
