Something old … something new … something borrowed … something blue.
With this old adage in mind I assembled the material for my sixth album “A Fistful Of Smoke And A Pocketful Of Promises”.

Something old…
To create the strongest album to date, and a perfect introduction to the un-initiated, I turned to my first two CDs. Both of which are in very limited supply. Three showcase songs in danger of becoming “lost classics”; “Escape From The Ant Farm”, “Midnight Carrousel”, and “Saint George And The Dragon” were my obvious choice for inclusion on the disc.

Something new…
The 10 new songs reinforce an early commitment to exploration, evolution, and expanding the boundaries of progressive rock to create a voice that is identifiably Ghosts Of Pompeii. Spend an evening in a 50s’ smoke filled coffeehouse, “Beatniks and Bohemians” - or encounter the spirit of an ancient Egyptian Queen, “Temple Of Hatshepsut”.

Something borrowed…
It has been said that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Bernard Herrmann, composer to countless film scores was the inspiration for my haunting composition, “In The Footsteps Of Ghosts – Part 1 & 2”. Something blue…
The title says it all, “Baroque’N Hearts”.

“A Fistful Of Smoke And A Pocketful Of Promises” is a collection of songs with … Something for everyone
