"Green Hill Zone": Sonic The Hedgehog

I'm going to so beat you, Garet!
In your dreams, Isaac!
Um, what are you guys doing?
We're playing video games. OH! BooYAH! I own you so bad, Garet!
You got sooooooo lucky on this one, Isaac!
Luck nothing! I won by sheer skill, Garet. You were the one who were lucky with that one attack!
Well, you know the old saying, "When you beat your friend, it's something about 90% Skill, 10% luck. When your friend beats you, it's almost all luck." Well, me and my muses are here to help rate games based on professionality first, and opinions second. First, we all have a collective review that is highly professional and unbiased. Then we will provide notes about the said game, pointing out weak and strong points. Then, we will each give our own opinion of the game in our own mindset.
Except in Alex's case, because he is without one.
Truer words are yet to be spoken. Anyway, Here is our professional grading scale:
  1. Graphics- How the game looks. In this review, Graphics play a realtively small role in the overall opinion. A great game could have simplistic graphics and still be as engrossing as a game with outstanding graphics.
  2. Play Control- Ease of Control is ALWAYS important. You don't want a First Person Shooter with play control so bad it feels like you're wearing two left boots. Play Control is an important category in the game's rating system.
  3. Sound- Does the game have Dolby, or does it rely on MIDI? That's what Sound is for. Sound is a realtively important category, as a game can be spectacular with everything except it. Poor sound ruins a perfectly good game.
  4. Value- Is the game worth the money? This area goes into replay value and other issues.
  5. Gameplay- This is the MOST important aspect of the game. This is the overall feel of the game, and is therefore the feeling the gamer gets when playing. If the gameplay is horrible, the game itself is horrible.
  6. Overall Rating- This rating is displayed on a 1-10 scale, 10 being the best. Here are what the ranks themselves mean:
    • 1: This Game Has No Hope: Game should be burned to a cinder and the creators need to be publicly flogged for insulting gamers everywhere.
    • 2: Abysmal: The Game is pitful, and is almost beyond redemption. The Creators need serious psycological evaluations for putting out such an abomination.
    • 3: Horrible: This game stumbles in every category, and needs a great deal of improvement. Potential for the game exists, but only if the game is revamped and repackaged. The Creators need to stop eating their Krispy Kremes and actually do some work.
    • 4: Mediocre: The game needs help, but it's not a lost cause. With some more work, the game might turn out okay. The Creators need to try again, and learn from their mistakes.
    • 5: So-So: The game is there, but possesses some flaws and issues. It may not be a BAD game, it's just not up to standard. It may need more features, or there are some bugs that need ironing out. Creators need to be a little more careful or a little more thorugh with their next product.
    • 6: Okay: The game is okay. There's some stuff wrong, but it's a parital distraction. The game can still be entertaining, but it's not the best thing under the sun. Creators need to excercise their game's potential a little more.
    • 7: Good: The game is entertaining, fun, and has few general flaws. Creators did a decent job, and earned their pay.
    • 8: Very Good: The game is a step up from Good. Few problems, fun game. Creators need a pat on the back.
    • 9: Excellent: A cut above the rest. A game with superior statistics, fun, exciting, virtually no problems. Creators need a raise.
    • 10: Incredible: The game is an ultimate entertainment experience, being nearly perfect. Given the system's capabilities, it utilizes them very well. No aspect of the game is out of place. It's likely that a game that obtains this rating is destined to be a classic. The Creators are one of two things:
      1. Shigeru Miyamoto
      2. Nameless, but deserve a huge banquet thrown in their honor and to have legions of fans.

Wow, Triad... did you babble on long enough or what?
Yup. Now then, here are a few things you can do: I'd recommend reading each reviewer's tastes before you check out the reviews. Then, move on to your choice of game.
