The year 2001 was a terrific year for the 1st Gingin Scout Group.  The Group was awarded Event of the Year by the Gingin Shire for the successful hosting of the Perth to Gingin Train Day.  Over 800 cubs and leaders from all parts of Western Australia descended on Gingin from the Hotham Valley Historic Railway Train to be    entertained by activities constructed by our Group at Granville Pool.  A Great day was had by all.

The Adventurer Cord

is the highest level of achievement in the Scout  Section and is  acknowledged by the Premier Scout Award  Certificate, which is intended to be presented by the Governor during February/March each year at a special ceremony at  Government House. It is the same ceremony at which the Queen's Scout and Baden-Powell Award are presented.
