By God's grace, the story of how diffident Boy and silly Girl came to be one began with the click of a mouse. Clicking away on one sunny, or rainy, day, Girl found Boy through the now obsolete BroncoFacebook and decided to send him a message. To her surprise, the dashing chap responded affirmatively and after a string of messages and IM's, the two decided to meet and test their spark. The first unofficial date was spontaneously decided to be held in the grandeur of Panda Express in the Marketplace. Girl had already eaten earlier but out of the curiosity of her heart she met Boy for dinner. As Boy sat across the table slowly, meticulously, and deliberately putting the chopsticks to their full and intended use, Girl was astonished at the snail-like pace and lack of verbal exchanges in between the masticating and consuming of the pint sized Mandarin Bowl. After what felt like eternity to the already innately impatient Girl, the “dinner” ended and each went off on their separate ways.

Although Girl swore to Friend that she wouldn’t pursue anything with Mute Boy, the two continued to correspond and soon found themselves gradually acclimating to each other’s presence albeit their disparate personalities. The two began to attend church on Sundays together, took long romantic strolls on the beach (not) and enjoyed classy 8 course meals (not). On one fateful day, October 29, 2004, the two proceeded to an outing in Santa Monica where Boy so gracefully propositioned, “So are we now girlfriend and boyfriend?” Despite the manner in how the question was interjected, Girl accepted and the two became closer to one. Throughout the several months Girl exposed Boy to a myriad of objects and cultures nouveau. |

From duck eggs, flip flop semantics in English speaking, her incessant obsession with Mini Coopers, Kettle Corn and Jamba Juice, the art of conversing with another human being, and the inherently loud speaking outrageous Asian culture to her quirky oddities, entrenched passion for New York, her traveling, beach fervors, and dreams strung with ambitions to escape the often parochially trapped mind, Boy took it all in with delight. In return, Boy gave Girl a world of boats (airplanes), a zeal for the rugged outdoors (i.e. camping/idea of backpacking), an (in)correct pronunciation of common words (concerning which there are still altercations to this day), an air of elegance to simplicity, stinky feet, a generous mind, a caring soul, and a loving heart, all of which Girl graciously accepted. Since meeting, both have traveled to New York City, San Francisco, Yosemite, and PoDunk Kansas. Snow boarding, rock climbing, ocean swimming, bungee jumping (not), snorkeling, mountain biking, and the completion of at least one 5k run a month are a sampling of outdoor activities taken up by the pair. But despite the amazing journey bestowed upon the two, God had even bigger plans for Boy and Girl. Early one morning Girl somehow found herself atop a walkway peering down at the sand of a small cove, where the large inscription “Girl, Will u Marry Me?” was plain to see. Nervous Boy kneeling in front of her, ring in hand quickly slipped the rock onto her finger before waiting for an answer. Luckily for Boy, Girl eventually said "Yes." And that brings us now to this day where you will see Boy and Girl together, sometimes smiling, sometimes scowling, deeply in debt, but nevertheless, together.
