Object Information: The Dumbbell Nebula M27 (NGC 6853) is an impressive planetary nebula was the first planetary nebula ever discovered by Charles Messier on 1764 .The object is located in the constellation Vulpecula has an angular diameter of the luminous body about 6 arc minutes, with a faint halo extensing out to over 15', half the apparent diameter of the Moon. The object is easily observed by small telescope and under good conditions by binoculars. The central star at mag 13 is bluish sub dwarf .The distance of M27 is not very well known and estimated between 800-1250 light years.
